Interviews with Kirkuk officials and citizens about arabisation. Gunmen release two Kurdish abductees for a $40,000 ransom. Arabs groups entered Palkana village in Kirkuk asking Kurdish families to get out of thier houses again, Sunday 13th September, 2020.
Because of the lack of the Iraqi security forces in protecting civilians in the disputed territories, an ISIS IED killed four members of a Kurdish family in Makhmour town. South of Kirkuk, Kurdish villagers and dozens of Saddam Hussein's returning Arabs families clash over land ownership. Kurdish language ignored in official government letters and signage in Kirkuk contrary to Iraqi constitution.
Gunmen assassinate a Kurdish merchant in Kirkuk with two of his workers. In Kirkuk, a Kurdish man was handcuffed to a hospital bed by security and says "my wife died because no one listened". Peshmerga forces had to prevent Iraqi forces from taking over their check point near Kulajo town.
On Thursday 25th June, 2020, Turkey conducted two more airstrikes in Erbil's Soran district and Kuna-Massi tourist resort in Sulaimani province. 1 dead civilian man and six others wounded (2 women, 2 children, 2 men, members of same family). Kharaba village was evacuated by force during Saddam Hussein's regime, the farmers were displaced, their lands were given to Arab settlers from Southern Iraq. After 2003 the farmers returned and the Arabs went home peacefully, since Iraq's invasion, new government personnel have been making efforts to undo these changes. A leaked document from Kirkuk Governor ordered the expulsion of Kurds from their lands in Palkana village and calls them "transgressors", and through this Kurdistan 24 News Report the Kurds are responding to him with their historical documents, June, 2020.
After invasion, the Iraqi's removed tens of Kurdish employees and replaced them with Arabs, including the Governorship of Kirkuk. Kirkuk Kurds now accuse the new Arab governor of discrimination after employing family members in key roles. Salar was a Kurdish Peshmarga from Khurmato, In 2019 returned to his house with his family after being displaced, October 16th 2017. After returning he was assassinated inside his home by anonymous militia, he leaves a wife and his two young sons behind. Kurdistan 24 News report of Arab farmers supported by Iraqi forces are now harvesting the crops that belong to Kurdish farmers in Kirkuk.
Mrs. Sabeeha who is an elderly Kurdish woman has had to leave her beloved village, Chaghmagha which is located near Dubiz Northwest Kirkuk, because the Arab settlers and ISIS terrorist groups have remained threatening the villagers. Kurdish policeman, Bahjat Anwar, a father-of-five and member of Kirkuk's police force was discovered in his vehicle in the city's Askari neighbourhood on 26th May, 2020. He had been beheaded with also a number of other knife wounds on his body. Kurdish farmer, Mr. Malik Faisal Syan from Ali Rash village appeals for help from the UN and the international community, his wheat farm was burned by gunmen on May 14th 2020. He blames Iraqi forces for the lack of protection.
In Tafarqa village near the Kurdish disputed city of Khanaqin, Ali Farman and his wife were assassinated on 11th May, 2020 by gunmen and their 3 year old little girl, Noor Ali survived. ISIS militants killed a Kurdish man and his nephew, Merkhas village in Khanaqin, Diyala province. The incident took place 10th May, 2020, when 4 ISIS militants attacked 4 Kurdish and 2 Arab farmers harvesting crops. NRT TV asking the stores owners about the security forces in Kirkuk who were filmed on CCTV stealing fruit in the middle of the night and asking if there is anything the store owners can do to stop them stealing.
An Iraqi police member and several militia members belonging to Hashed Turkmani have raped a Kurdish disabled woman in Perdi northern Kirkuk, they filmed their crime and it was leaked to the social media as well as Kurdish news TV channels. Two Kurdish Peshmergas, Sorkio Saeed and Ismail Faris were killed by ISIS militants after they launched an attack on Peshmerga forces in Kolajo in Garmiyan administration late evening on Tuesday 7th april, 2020. Kirkuk, Iraqi forces prevent Kurdish reporter, Chia Noori from having interviews with people. Chia Norri works for Payam TV was abused by the Iraqi forces which is against the Reporters Rights.
Kirkuk, anonymous militia attack Kurds because of lack of Iraqi forces. Four Kurdish young men were killed in this terorist attack in a Kurdish village called Chaghmagha. Rudaw News Report, January 2020: The Governor of Kirkuk keeps seizing the agricultural lands of the Kurds and lets the Arabs take them as part of the current Ethnic Cleansing program. Kirkuk, January 13th 2020: Militias wearing official uniform carried out an armed robbery against Kurdish citizen, Karim Ahmed and stole $60.000 from him in the Kurdish neighborhood of Raheemawa.
